Mathematics is an important study subject required for any student wishing to enter University courses, such as Medicine, Engineering or Biology, as well as many others.
Mathematics has traditionally formed a substantial part of the education of young people in Canada throughout their schooldays. Its value to all students as an element of general education, and as preparation for life after school, has been recognized by the community at large.
There is some debate in why students fail math. Students may have a hard time keeping up with the pace at which the subject is taught or may have challenge to fully understand modern mathematics curricula that have replaced traditional curricula. However, parents, teachers and schools can address this problem by providing math tutors for students who lag behind.
