In Person Tutoring
Like many tutoring centres, we also offer private math lessons. Private one-on-one tutoring enables students to receive direct attention and instruction catered specifically to their needs. We offer both in-person and virtual tutoring lessons (via Skype). In our experience, private tutoring is most beneficial for students who need supplementary assistance with the fundamentals of mathematics.
How does it work? That depends on you and your needs. We can meet on a regular basis as frequently as you would like. The duration of the lessons can also vary. For younger students, we recommend 1 hour lessons for better retention of knowledge. For students in high school or post-secondary school, we recommend 2 to 3 hour lessons as the problems encountered are more complex and take time to solve. Additionally, sometimes an extended appointment is needed to help master a key concept before a test or exam.
Our tutors are happy to meet you at your residence, at school, a library, a local coffee shop, or any other location that is convenient for you.

Online Tutoring
Online tutoring (via Skype) is one of the programs that makes Educated Fox unique. Through video chat, students can see and talk to our enthusiastic tutors. Our tutors connect a tablet to their computer, and students can see what the tutors are writing in real-time just as they would on a piece of paper. This allows the student to see the problems visually. Students can further screen grab the layout of the page for later review. This method is convenient and offers all the benefits of in-person tutoring with eliminating travel time.
