Traditional Thai Massage
In Traditional Thai Massage, the therapist uses their hands, knees, elbows and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches, followed by palm-and thumb-kneading techniques along the body’s meridian lines. This comprehensive full-body treatment is great for relieving tired muscles, stimulating circulation, improving mobility and flexibility, as well as balancing the body energetically.
Please note that Thai massage is done on the floor using a padded mat. Unlike Swedish massage, Thai massage is performed through the clothing and does not use oils or lotions. Clients are required to bring a set of comfortable clothing to wear during the treatment.

Hot Stone Massage
Benefits and effects of hot stones:
The direct heat from the stones relaxes muscles allowing manipulation of a greater intensity. This will help alleviate minor aches and pains. The hot stones give additional warmth to the body by expanding blood vessels, a condition known as vaso-dilation. This will then make normal Swedish massage movements even more effective at increasing blood flow and eliminating waste.Lymphatic circulation is assisted by the general increase in circulation. The stones also promote a sedative effect, creating a state of quietude and calm within the client.
Conditions that would benefit from hot stone massage:
· Muscular aches and pains
· Sprains and strains
· Fibromyalgia
· Back pain
· Stress and Anxiety
· Tension
60 and 90 minute sessions available
Pregnancy Massage
This is beneficial to an expectant mother. It addresses the many changes your body undergoes throughout pregnancy and can help alleviate many discomforts.
Performed in side-lying position after the first trimester, pregnancy massage has many benefits to expectant mothers.
Pregnancy massage has been found to reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs, and relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints. It is helpful to reduce low back, hip and neck pain, when choices for pain relief, such as medication, are often limited.
Massage can sometimes help reduce feelings of nausea and calm stressful emotions. In general, not only can massage be physically beneficial, but the human touch can be comforting and provide emotional support during pregnancy.
Massage therapy has been found to reduce anxiety and depression, which is also very helpful in post-natal treatments, when one can feel overwhelmed or experience post-partum depression. This is also a great time to relax and let go on the massage table, since most new moms are more than a little sleep-deprived!
Our RMTs are specifically trained in pregnancy massage, and know what is safe for the mother and baby
