Services
We can provide full architectural services from Pre-Design to Post Construction as is required in certain projects such as multi-storey buildings (more than three-storey) and non-residential, public buildings. We can also provide partial services, such as design only, design and preparation of permit/construction drawings, or monitoring construction during the building phase of the work. An architect is permitted to affix his/her architectural seal on drawings only prepared by the architect and/or under supervision of the architect. The fee schedule below is taken from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s “Determining Appropriate Fees for the Services of an Architect” dated 2009. These fees are typically based on new home construction by an owner-retained project at $200 to $300/sq. ft. construction costs and at approximately 2,000 sq. ft. or more.
Please note that we can provide partial architectural services at a principal rate of $200 per hour, on technician rates which are lower (such as measuring an existing building for renovations) or on per diem rates depending on the scope of work. . .
