Specialties
Mobile hospice veterinarian focusing on end-of-life care for geriatric and ill patients in Toronto. Compassionate in-home pet euthanasia and aftercare provided with focus on human-pet bond.
Established in 2012.
I feel the human-pet bond is strengthened as a pet enters their senior years. This is a time to support pet owners in making the right decision for them and their beloved pets. A pet that has lived a good life deserves to live with dignity at the end of their life. Palliative care, hospice care and in home euthanasia provided to dogs and cats to ensure the bond is not broken. Quality of life should be the underlying theme when discussing end of life issues and this requires in depth conversations with a veterinarian and pet owner. Assessing a pet in their home environment is very helpful when determining quality of life.
Business Owner
Dr. Faith Banks started Midtown Mobile Veterinary Services when she realized their was a need for pet owners to have the time and attention to help them with their pets’ end of life issues. Quality of life should be as the forefront when discussing care for one’s pet. I am passionate about end of life care for pets and helping owners understand the intense feelings of grief they are likely experiencing with anticipatory grief or will experience once their pet passes.
