About the A+ Advantage
In order to succeed, my students will come to understand their areas of strength. Feeling confident about their strengths, with an understanding of how prior knowledge and experience matters, they are able to put forth their best effort. My students get results by feeling challenged and motivated.
An important part of the process is my ability to collaborate with parents as well as students. I customize my lessons to suit the needs of the student by keeping learning engaging and fun, while working to set and reach specific and attainable goals.
As a caring tutor, my great joy comes from knowing that I have helped to contribute to a student’s success. I am results-oriented, yet I understand the importance of the journey.
Thinking back to when I was a student, I wanted to work with a confidante I could trust. I did not want somebody talking down to me. Growing positive relationships is what tutoring is all about. I needed somebody to provide guidance and a helping hand as only a mentor and facilitator can.
Finding the proper tutor involves trust and confidence. I welcome the challenge of taking on new students, and I value reconnecting with students I have worked with in the past.
